Job Description
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is seeking applications for a LEO Lecturer I for the course HHS 100 ? Personal Health and Wellness for the 2023 Fall semester. In this course, students will examine the core concepts, conceptual frameworks, and epidemiological data related to personal health and wellness. Students will learn to apply the scientific method to the systematic study of common health problems. Students will gain a better understanding of their own health-related attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors and learn strategies to manage their stress and improve their health and wellness. Multiple sections of this course are taught each term. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the content of the course, assignments, and textbook access are coordinated with the other course instructors. The Department requires continuity across all sections of this course. More information will be provided once an instructor is hired.
The position is for two 4-credit sections of HHS 100, for 50% effort during the Fall 2023 term but future teaching assignments for this course may be available consistent with the LEO collective bargaining agreement and departmental need.

Candidates should have a master's degree and/or an earned doctorate in health and wellness, health behavior, health education, or other health and human services discipline. Experience with and a commitment to undergraduate online instruction is highly valued.
